ACC Cover & Insurance

Chelsea Hospital holds a contract with ACC for the delivery of surgical services.  If your treatment is to be covered by ACC we must have written approval before your surgery goes ahead. The approval from ACC will need to state whether or not they will cover part or all of the cost.

Chelsea Hospital works with all New Zealand insurance providers as well as some overseas and can help you with your insurance approval and claim.  You will need to obtain prior approval from your health insurer prior to having your surgery here.

Some policies do not cover all of your surgical costs.  If this is the case you will need to meet the cost not covered by your insurance company.
